Hi, just a small update. =) The site has been moved to blogspot so that I can update more easily and more frequently, we also have a new cohost, Chayenne. Some recent releases that I thought I'd share, as well as a Monday Kiz song.

虽然我愿意 Sui Ran Wo Yuan Yi (Although I'm Willing) - Wu Jia Hui
language: Mandarin
genre: Ballad
rating: 4/5
comments: Believe it or not, this is a guy singing. He sounds a lot like a girl, but I really like his clear, high-ranged voice. This is a ballad from his debut album, Although I'm Willing. He has a lot of talent, definitely try this out.

童话傻瓜 Tong Hua Sa Gua (Fairy Tale Fool) - Wu Jia Hui
language: Mandarin
genre: Pop
rating: 4.5/5
comments: A more upbeat track from Wu Jia Hui, there are random Japanese lyrics stuck into this song (Kimi wo baka) & it's very catchy. Wu Jia Hui also sings in a lower range than in the song before, making his voice a lot less feminine.

Wo Men Chang De Ge (The Song We Sang) - BOBO
language: Mandarin
genre: Ballad
rating: 4/5
comments: Another Chinese song I recently discovered, this song starts out with excerpts of "Fur Elise", which I have to say is a bit stereotypical. Still, this is a pretty good song. This song reminds me a bit of Tong Hua by Guang Liang, maybe just because of the melody and the prominent piano accompaniment. Their voices have a nice amount of contrast.

Checkmate - Yugin
language: Japanese
genre: Pop Rock
rating: 4.5/5
comments: I really like these guys. This is their latest single. The song's arrangement is beautiful, I really love the sound of the bass guitar and the drums. It seems pretty generic at the first listen, but this song is really growing on me, especially when they sing "Checkmate" in Engrish. XP A bright, semi-upbeat song, definitely worth a listen.

Yes Forever - MISIA
language: Japanese
genre: R&B/Ballad
rating: 4.5/5
comments: I absolutely love her voice. I'm used to hearing weak, whispery vocals in R&B songs, but MISIA's voice is extremely powerful and unique. The song starts out more as a typical ballad, but it also has R&B influences that mix well with the light acoustic guitar accompaniment - it's unexpected but somehow doesn't seem out of place at all. Recommended.

One Night (feat. B.BOX) - Monday Kiz
language: Korean
genre: Pop/Ballad
rating: 5/5
comments: Kim Min Soo of Monday Kiz died in a motorcycle accident on April 29th, 2008. They've always been one of my favourite artists and one of the more talented in the K-pop industry. He was only 23 years old, too. I wanted to upload one of their songs just to pay tribute to him, even though this isn't their most recent release. This is one of their more upbeat tracks, a bit different from their usual ballads. It's very catchy and showcases their voices well, highly recommended.
