A few choice songs from the soundtrack of Taiwanese drama Black & White, which starred crap what are their names Vic Chou (F4) and an impressive debut by newcomer Mark Chao. I actually watched this drama (I rarely ever watch dramas, especially not idol dramas). I personally thought it was all right, but not as spectacular some people (probably F4 fans, haha) made it sound. But I must say, the soundtrack is exceptional.

02. 痞子與英雄 - Jason Tsou (Ruffian And Hero)
03. Hey Baby - Picks
13. Perfect Stranger - Jason Tsou & Picks
15. 鐵人 - COLOR BAND (Iron Man)

Review:

痞子與英雄 is a playful, flirty track. Jason Tsou also played an assassin within the drama, something that really surprised me since his character in the drama differs greatly from his confident, relaxed singing/rapping in this song. Complete with bold, broad saxophone riffs, it definitely makes for a fun, upbeat listen.

Hey Baby is by indie band Picks. Come to think of it, I didn't know any of these artists until hearing them on this OST. It's quite similar in atmosphere to 痞子與英雄, with lazy brass riffs and a flirty, flippant mood. There's more rapping in it than in 痞子與英雄, which may have been why I didn't enjoy it as much.

Perfect Stranger is a favourite of mine - I love the piano in the intro. It's a rock song (although not a particularly heavy one) and completely in English. The harmonizing is haunting and beautiful. The line I always remember is Oh my, perfect stranger because that little snippet was used as an insert between episodes or sections of an episode.

鐵人 is a bright, mid-tempo ballad with rock influences. I love the quiet female vocals that back the lead male's voice, it really adds another dimension to the song. A tad generic, but I quite liked this song.
