A small update for you guys, five of my current favourite songs. Comment/leave a rating if taking.

#5. Hurt (Feat. 업타운) _ Hye Ji (혜지)
Korean | Pop/R&B
I tried this song out based on a recommendation. It's an airy, sweet R&B influenced track. While Hye Ji's light, high voice isn't exactly to my liking, it definitely suits the delicate atmosphere of the song. It's bubbly, but at the same time mature. I love the accompaniment, it sounds like a harp or something, as well as the smooth chorus.

#4. Supernova (ft. Kanye West) - Mr Hudson
English | Electronica/R&B
This song isn't one that really jumps out at you - the dynamics are rather flat - but it's definitely memorable. I love the beat and subtle synths. Everything in this song just comes together perfectly. While I'm not a big Kanye West fan, I really like his contributions to this song as well as Mr Hudson's eclectic mix of styles and textured voice. The bridge (You've got it wrong if you think our love is gone) which takes centre stage and then repeats in the background for the rest of the song is fantastic.

#3.Everything Is Broken (feat. Kid Cudi) - Mr Hudson
English | Electronica/R&B
I love Mr Hudson's unique, slightly rough voice in this song, especially in the first few lines of the song. Again, lots of feathery synths and a great beat. This guy has such a unique style, although I've only recently discovered his music I'm really liking what I've heard so far.

#2. Yes I am - pg.lost
Instrumental | Post rock
This band is actually from Sweden. I never actually really knew what post-rock was - according to Wikipedia it's "a genre of rock music characterized by the use of musical instruments commonly associated with rock music, but using rhythms, harmonies, melodies, timbre, and chord progressions that are not usually found in rock tradition". Either way - I really love this song, it really takes you on a journey and has so many beautiful transitions and stages. I especially love 1:10-2:40, it's melodic and enchantingly gorgeous. While that portion is very soft and reflective, other portions are soaring and powerful. It might not be everyone's thing, but try them out!

#1. Down - Jason Walker
English | Pop-Rock
This song was used in the show Vampire Diaries, so some of you may recognize it. I originally heard it on the show and thought it was good but not exceptional. After a couple more listens, I changed my mind - it's definitely a bit of a depressing song, but it's absolutely beautiful. There's a female vocalist accompanying him in parts, I can't remember what her name is right now but I love the combination of their voices. The lyrics are something most can probably relate to - I shot for the shy, I'm stuck on the ground. So why do I try, I know I'm going to fall down. I've had this song on replay for the past week.
