Hello, name's Lena; I'm another contributor to fashionscans. You can also find me in my personal music rotation site, but let's not go off into a tangent here, haha. My music ranges from anything Asian, so I'm up for a variety of genres and styles.

the GazettE - Before I Decay
Single Release | October 7, 2009
Language+Genre | Japanese Rock

01. Before I Decay
02. Mayakashi (瞞し)

Before I Decay follows the formulaic style that they've been dishing out lately - a heavy combination of Engrish screaming and dark guitars, following up with a brighter mainstream chorus. In a away it's like Invisible Wall, Distress & Coma and other recent singles. Being a avid follower of this band, this one's rehashed, and not in a very positive way. Still, it could be entertaining for those new to the band. 瞞し is the b-side to the single and it has some redeeming qualities. Although not entirely special, it's more controlled and a pleasant listen to. The melody is familiar, and overall it's something lighter for a broader audience.
