1. Vacation
I will be going on vacation from August 6th to around the 11th. I will not be updating the site in that time, but I'll be sure to post something when I get back.
2. New Cohost!
We have a new cohost, Alistere, who will probably be introducing herself soon. ^_^
3. Contributers/Reviewers
I am now, obviously, no longer looking for a cohost, but I have decided that it would be good to have some more people contributing to the site, so I am still looking for contributers. Basically, if you'd be interested in posting occasionally but not the responsibility of having to rotate on a given schedule, or even if you're interested in reviewing songs/singles/albums but don't want to upload. When I return from my vacation I will give more details on this, in the meantime if anyone is interested you can send me an e-mail at tokyomonochrome@gmail.com.
4. Tag Cloud/Label List
I still haven't figured out how to get a tag cloud/label list up for the site. All the codes I've seen seem to work fine for other people, but either because of the layout or something, they don't work on this site. Anyways, you can always click the labels at the bottom of a post if you want to see other posts with that label - but, this makes it impossible to browse through all the tags. For now, you can use the archives to access old posts, but this still isn't very useful if you're looking for something specific.
5. Masterlist
I am thinking about creating a masterlist instead - basically, listing all the songs that have been uploaded and where to find them. This could either be done by rotation or by individual songs, I'm still considering what format would be more efficient and useful.
6. Requests
I have realized that 1. I will never get to typing up ~100GB of music by hand, and 2. Trying to export my library from iTunes to a format where it can just be copied and posted does not work. Most of the requests I fulfill are for people on other sites who are just requesting to anyone on the site - eg. "Does anyone have Room by SID?", so I can just answer the posts that are asking for songs I have - basically, I don't really need to have a playlist, especially if it's going to be extremely time-consuming to create one. You are free to request any Korean, Japanese, or Mandarin (I don't have many Cantonese songs, but you can ask if you want) music from me. If I don't have it, I will try to find it for you. If you hear a song that you like and would like recommendations for more material by that artist, I'd also be happy to help you. =) I don't really care how much you request as long as it's reasonable, and the only thing I really will not upload is full discographies since I generally don't have them.
7. Full Albums
In the last poll I saw that a few people did prefer seeing full albums/singles posted, something that I rarely do. Singles are okay, I've started to post them more more often (as opposed to individual songs) but it's hard for me to find albums that I really enjoy listening to enough to upload every track (I don't really like compressing files into .zip or .rar) and reviewing the whole album too. Also, I think it discourages people to buy the album if they can just download the whole thing. But, I've decided to post up one of my favourite albums maybe once a month or so. Either of my own choice or I may have a poll up sometimes for you guys to pick what you want uploaded.
8. Misc.
Whew, sorry this is so ridiculously long. I don't expect people to read the whole thing or really care about half the stuff I posted, which is why I separated it into sections so you can just read whatever interests/concerns you. Anyways, a little bonus for those of you who actually bothered to read any of this. The p/w is fashionscans (very original, right?). Bodyguard - SHINee, Countdown - SHINee, Minneapolis Control - SOUL'd OUT
